Mission Statement: To help our heroes in their time of need.
How we started:
In 2018 the Founder of Love Our Hero's Inc Tami Robinson was at a crossroads in her life. She had been married to an alcoholic/addict for 17 years. She was struggling to find purpose for her life, and she was very broken and felt hopeless in her situation. December of 2018 she compilated suicide. Tami found the strength to ask God to show her what her purpose in this life was or she would end her life the next day. She woke up the next day and knew exactly what her purpose on this earth was.......to help veterans! Tami had $690 saved for what she deemed as her exit money that she used to rent a 600 sq ft store front and she began selling her personal items. And as they say, the rest is history.
Our Values:
We believe that anyone that serves our Country is a HERO and shouldn't have to worry about basic needs such as food or housing. Our mission is to help as many veterans as we can.....ONE HERO AT A TIME!
Our Impact:
We have helped 367 veterans for a grand total of $126,750.67
Love Our Hero's Inc. has served veterans in the following counties: Richland, Ashland, Morrow, Crawford, Knox, Marion, Wayne, Huron, Hardin, Franklin, Cuyahoga. We work closely with VA caseworkers and community health workers to ensure that we are providing accurate and immediate assistance. We work on a referral basis; most recently the referrals have been for homeless veterans transitioning into an apartment. We have provided the first month's rent, household items, food and comfort.
We have also been blessed to have been able to donate 4 vehicles to veterans in need and we are currently in the process of building a brand-new home for a very deserving Army veteran, "The Ron Project".
Love Our Hero's has held a yearly event called The Tiny Tim Shop, where kiddos get to come in and purchase gifts for their parents/siblings and get pictures with Santa while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and cookies.
We have also sent out what we call "Hero Boxes" to our active-duty military personnel overseas. To date we have sent over 350 boxes filled with snacks, and essential items.
